Stirring up Mexican kitchens

In recent years, Mexico City has become a culinary hub. New restaurants and bakeries open each month, offering a wide range of national and international dishes to captivate the Mexican foodies

This growing culinary interest has motivated the creation of gastronomic markets, food fairs, and culinary events.

One of the most famous ones is Cake & Bake Masters, one of the most important bakery events in the world,  where Mexico's and the world's most influential and talented chefs teach you how to bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, and other desserts.

This year's sponsors included Bonorte, Gallantdale, Smeg, Discovery & Health, Larousse Cocina, incredible, Svetia, and KitchenAid

This year's edition was attended by Mark Rausch, one of Colombia's best chefs, who is also KitchenAid's ambassador.

There, he baked a cake inspired by Mexican cuisine, using chocolate, cinnamon, chile, and tamarind. He also took the time two present KitchenAid's limited edition mixers.

Plus, KitchenAid is celebrating its 100th anniversary by launching two limited edition artisan mixers as well.

In 1919, KitchenAid launched its iconic stand mixer. Originally, it had been used by the U.S. Navy and bakeries, later, it was introduced as a kitchen appliance, designed to help the cook master the culinary arts.

Today, KitchenAid offers a wide range of mixers, accessories, ovens, fridges, stoves, and more. It innovated the culinary industry with its stand mixers, and with the launch of each product, KitchenAid keeps on surprising us.

But these mixers are not just appliances, they have become luxury items. They have become most-wanted items, which decorate our kitchens with its pink, red, yellow, purple, and green mixers. KitchenAid's mixers are a favorite among celebrity chefs, such as Julia Child and Martha Stewart.

On November 2, KitchenAid presented its Limited Edition Heritage Artisan mixers, in its iconic Misty Blue color, to celebrate its first 100 years.

During Cake & Bake Masters 2018, Mark Rausch talked about the importance of being KitchenAid's ambassador: “It's a brand I have known since I was little. My aunt, my grandma, my mom all had a KitchenAid mixer at home. When I decided I wanted to make a living off gastronomy, I bought my first mixer and it's always been my right hand. I feel very proud, and I really love the brand, it's a dream come true.”

The two limited edition mixers, in misty blue, are already available in Mexico, at El Palacio de Hierro and Liverpool.

One of the main attractions was the Awesome Museum, an exhibition of incredible cakes made by talented chefs
